ASPEN, Colo., July 2, 2026 — Intersect Aspen Art + Design (July 28 - August 1, 2026) deepens their partnership with Aspen Community Foundation (ACF) to launch a new initiative Art for ACF that invites participating galleries to support the Roaring Fork Valley through the sale of artwork during this year's fair.

As part of the initiative, each exhibiting gallery is invited to designate artwork, with 15 percent of the net proceeds donated to Aspen Community Foundation. The program reflects Intersect Aspen's ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful connections between art and community while supporting organizations that strengthen the region year-round.

Founded in 1980, Aspen Community Foundation works to improve quality of life across the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys by connecting philanthropy with local needs, supporting nonprofit organizations and convening partners to address the region's most pressing challenges.

"The Aspen community has shown unwavering support for Intersect Aspen Art + Design, embracing the fair and helping it become an important part of the region's cultural landscape," says Tim von Gal, CEO of Intersect Art + Design. "The launch of the Art for ACF initiative is our opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to us. By partnering with Aspen Community Foundation, we hope to help advance the organization's tireless work strengthening communities from Aspen to Parachute while creating another meaningful way for art to make a lasting impact."

Participating artworks will receive prominent placement in the entrance corridor of Intersect Aspen Art + Design, on the fair's website and across social media channels. The initiative will also be recognized during Aspen Community Foundation's Connect Event on July 23.

About Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair:
Positioned within Aspen’s broader cultural landscape, the fair has established itself as a key convening point—valued for its measured scale, thoughtful curation, and meaningful engagement with both local and international audiences. The 2026 fair will feature 38 gallery presentations of contemporary and modern art from around the globe.

For 16 years, Intersect Aspen has been woven into the fabric of Aspen’s community, partnering closely with the city and its cultural institutions to become a reflection of Aspen’s unique cultural tapestry. Each year, thoughtfully curated presentations foster authentic connections—between artists, collectors, and the Aspen landscape. What defines Intersect Aspen is the intimate, immersive experience where world-class programming and global artists come together with a sense of place. At Intersect Aspen, collectors will find more than an art fair—they will find a community of shared vision and discovery.

“Aspen continues to be the perfect community to host these extraordinary galleries and artists.  With its exceptional natural beauty and thoughtful collectors, Aspen offers an unparalleled art landscape,” says Tim von Gal, CEO of Intersect Art + Design. “Intersect Aspen is where meaningful connections are forged—between collectors, artists, and the stories behind each work. It’s not just about acquiring art; it’s about becoming part of a deeper cultural dialogue that defines Aspen.”

Each year, Intersect Aspen transforms the Aspen Ice Garden into Aspen’s largest gallery setting. The 2026 edition will showcase ambitious installations, curated presentations, and a week of artist-focused talks, tours, and collaborations with Aspen’s leading arts organizations—creating a distinctive experience defined by exceptional art, thoughtful dialogue, and creative exchange.

Intersect Aspen is proud to honor Aspen Community Foundation as its primary beneficiary once again this year. New this year, select artworks will contribute 15 percent of proceeds to support the foundation’s work in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Both have a deep affinity for Aspen. Dirk worked as an Aspen ski instructor in the 1990s and Tim has been a long-time visitor to Aspen. When they were presented with the opportunity to relaunch the summer art event, they were honored to take on the project and have since given the fair new life and energy while expanding its programming.
