ASPEN, Colo. August 5, 2026 — Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair concluded its 2026 edition with its strongest results to date, setting new records in attendance, artwork sales, collector engagement, and community participation over five days of programming in the heart of Aspen Art Week.
From a record-setting Opening Day through the fair's strongest final day ever, the 2026 edition welcomed record attendance while galleries reported exceptional sales and enthusiastic collector engagement. More works of art sold on Opening Day than in any previous year, and more artworks were sold across the five-day fair than ever before, reinforcing Aspen's position as one of the country's most important destinations for art collectors and cultural tourism; and reinforcing Intersect Aspen’s position as the cornerstone for collecting global to local artwork in Aspen - during Aspen Art Week and throughout the entire year.
The fair also presented 15 public programs, all of which drew strong audiences and lively discussion. Conversations throughout the week featured internationally recognized artists, photographers, architects, curators and cultural leaders, creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue that extended well beyond the exhibition floor. The final program featured artist Paula Crown in conversation with Sarah Arison, President of the Board of Trustees of The Museum of Modern Art, bringing the week to a memorable close with a thoughtful discussion on art, social consciousness, creativity and cultural leadership.

Throughout the week, participating galleries expressed overwhelming appreciation for the quality of collectors, the strength of sales, and the collaborative atmosphere fostered by the fair. Exhibitors praised the leadership of fair owners Tim (CEO) and Dirk von Gal (President), noting the fair's thoughtful organization, welcoming environment, and continued commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for galleries, artists, collectors, and the broader community. Positive feedback also poured in from local cultural organizations, artists, collectors, and members of the international art community, underscoring Intersect Aspen's growing reputation as one of the premier boutique art fairs in the country.
"From a record-setting opening straight through to the strongest final day, this was the most successful art fair we have produced," says Tim von Gal, CEO of Intersect Art + Design. "Highlighted by robust sales, vibrant collector connectivity, highly engaging programming and unparalleled community engagement, the 2026 edition of Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair set a new benchmark for excellence and impact."
"Stay tuned—we have some great plans for next year," adds von Gal. "My brother, co-owner and President of Intersect Art + Design, Dirk von Gal, and I are so grateful to this community for how it has embraced our core values and our efforts to create a place where people can find what they love—visually and in spirit—in a beautiful, spacious and welcoming environment that highlights exceptional art and thought-provoking programming."
Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair continues to strengthen its role as a cornerstone of Aspen Art Week, bringing together leading galleries, celebrated artists, passionate collectors, and the broader community in a setting that celebrates creativity, discovery, and meaningful cultural exchange.
