Intersect Aspen Marks Monumental 15th Year in Aspen With an Unprecedented Gallery Lineup, Expanded Dates, and Immersive Programming – July 29–august 3, 2025

Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair Expands to a Six-Day Fair With a Record Number of Galleries

2025 Gallery List Announced and Tickets Are Now on Sale

Aspen, CO - June 10, 2025 - Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair will celebrate its fifteenth year in Aspen from July 29 to August 3, 2025. This milestone edition promises to be the most expansive and engaging yet, featuring an amplified gallery lineup, extended fair dates and enriched programming.

Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair—an integral pillar of Aspen’s increasingly vibrant ArtWeek—continues to grow and will present the work from national and international galleries. Intersect Aspen fosters a dynamic convergence between distinguished artists, galleries, curators, collectors and visionaries from across the globe and the local art community.

Encompassing an expansive 16,000 square feet, Intersect Aspen transforms the Aspen Ice Garden into Aspen’s largest cultural canvas, providing an unparalleled gallery experience offering fair visitors an immersive journey through art and culture.

“Coming off the tremendous success of last year, we challenged ourselves to make 2025 even better,” says Tim von Gal, CEO, Intersect Art and Design. “This includes reconfiguring and expanding the floor to accommodate more wonderful galleries and bring our Intersect Educational Series to the center of the action. Compelling programming presented by world renowned artists, curators and dealers will deliver thought-provoking insights and perspectives tailored to the interests of the unique Aspen collector. This year we will also have special celebrity works as well as more artists in attendance than ever before. We are proud and confident that the 2025 edition of Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair will surpass the previous fourteen years in quality, interest and excitement.”

Newly exhibiting artists announcements:
Aspen’s 212GALLERY will make its debut at Intersect Aspen 2025, presenting a focused exhibition of work by Shepard Fairey—one of the world’s most influential and provocative contemporary artists. With a career spanning nearly 35 years, Fairey’s work bridges fine art, street culture, and social discourse. He is perhaps best known for his iconic HOPE portrait, now part of the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery collection. To date, Fairey has completed more than 135 large-scale public murals worldwide, redefining the role of street art and its impact on civic identity and global discourse.

Jackson Fine Art will be presenting the work of Michael Stipe, the multifaceted artist, producer, and singer/songwriter for the first time at Intersect Aspen. Best known as the frontman of the legendary band R.E.M., Stipe’s creative legacy extends far beyond music. Over the past four decades, he has built a compelling multidisciplinary art practice that spans video, soundscapes, sculpture, and photographic and digital imagery. His work continues to push boundaries and explore the interplay between identity, memory, and media, marking an exciting addition to the fair’s 2025 edition. Jackson Fine Art will feature Stipe’s photography and sculpture at Intersect Aspen 2025. In addition to Stipe, Jackson Fine Art will also debut the work of Cig Harvey at the fair. Harvey is a British born artist and writer, who lives in Maine, USA, working in large-scale color photography and creative non-fiction.

About Tim and Dirk von Gal, owners of Intersect Aspen Art + Design:
In 2021, Tim and Dirk von Gal relaunched Aspen’s annual art fair, Art Aspen, as Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair. The brothers, who reside in Georgia, both have an affinity for Aspen. Dirk worked as an Aspen ski instructor in the 1990s and Tim has been a long-time visitor to Aspen. When they were presented with the opportunity to relaunch the summer art event, they were honored to take on the project and have since given the fair new life and energy while expanding its programming.
