Join world-renowned conservation photographer and National Geographic Explorer Cristina Mittermeier for an illuminating conversation exploring the powerful intersection of art and environmental. Known for her breathtaking imagery and tireless commitment to ocean conservation and Indigenous communities, Mittermeier brings a unique perspective to how visual storytelling can inspire change and mobilize action.

This exchange will delve into how contemporary artists use their practice to engage with climate, ecology, and sustainability—and how art fairs, galleries, and collectors can support and amplify that impact. With Intersect Aspen as a backdrop, this timely dialogue will highlight the evolving role of art as both a mirror and a catalyst in addressing the world’s most urgent environmental challenges.

Moderated by Ann Mullins, an award-winning landscape architect based in Aspen, who has been recognized for her work in planning and developing policies that impact landscapes as well as local communities. Mullins is also a former Aspen City Council member, serving the City of Aspen for eight years in this role.

Cristina Mittermeier is represented by Hilton Contemporary.
